Simple Past Tense - "ed" as /d/
Category: Grammar
If the verb ends in a vowel sound or a voiced consonant (l, n, r, b, g, m, z, v), the –ed ending sounds like a /d/. You can use your fingers to touch your throat and say the sound. If the throat vibrates, it is a voiced sound.
